BFD: Nokia 5510

The phone is incomparable with it any of the usual models from the Nokia family.  Starting from the keypad which is unlike the usual telephone keypad, has a QWERTY keypad.  with the 84X84 monochrome display, placed at the center, the keypad and all navigational buttons surmount the display. But, the phone lacks one feature which is predictive text. Four shortcut buttons on the side help access music Player, FM Radio and volume controls.

5510 falls in the category og mobile phones that can play both MP3 ans AAC files that can be played after transferring them from PC through Nokia PC Suite.  The users can also record their favorite music from radio with the help of 2.5mm audio jack. The phone also has a built-in equalizer with seven pre-settings. The Audio Manager helps transfer music from PC, which is later encoded into the playable format.

The removable backplate on the handset was designed in such a way that pressure on the middle of the plastic could easily cause the plate to crack, This was highlighted in many reviews of the model at the time of release.
