BFD: Nokia 7700

The phone that was announced in 2003 and never got released. It was expected to be the first multimedia smartphone from Nokia, and also one of the first models to integrate series 90 GUI and symbian phone. Featuring a touch screen a color LCD offering a resolution of 640×320 pixels offering 65000 colours.

It has a 64MB internal multimedia memory card.  It also has some special features like VGA camera, an Integrated FM radio, Bluetooth, USB and Nokia’s proprietary Pop-Port interface for connectivity purposes.

There are several theories behind the proposal getting cancelled but one of the main fact is tha the share market’s conomy at the time it was proposed to get released because of which the release got cancelled in the mids of 2004.
