Toshiba TG01 Review
Toshiba has propelled its re-entry withTG01, which is expected to be a tough competitor for iPhone 3gs and HTC hero. And to achieve this Toshiba has launched its TG01 which happens to be the largest display, thinnest device, fastest processor possessing mobile. But does three factors really can compel someone to buy TG01. lets explore more of it…………….
The first thing that would be noted here is the screen. If you ever thought that iPhone has the largest and widest screen than your thoughts are broken by the very fact that TG01 has now bagged the credit for owning the biggest screen, amongst the touchscreen models. Its massive display is 4.1 inches and also that toshiba has a border of about two centimeters that runs on the sides of the phone which makes the size of the display 129 x 70 x 9.9 mm chassis.
Though the phone happens to take the credit of having the biggest size display amongst the 3G models, it still would make one feel a little odd when held in hands, because the phone poses more a look of a PDA rather than a mobile device. But the size is unbelievably compensated in the weight of the phone, it just weighs 129g, and penetrates as deep as 9.9mm depth.
The button layouts are the common design, where the buttons are placed on
the sides of the phone where the volume controls are placed on the left edge of the phone, where the camera and Micro USB socket is placed on the right edge. The bottom of the front panel is concentrated with three special buttons, which facilitate “Home”, “Back”, a touch sensitive bar for dragging up free pad. The call and terminate buttons are placed as a part of the touchscreen, but unfortunately these buttons are a little small, that if you happen to stay a little away from the touch point, then though you keep tapping the point it might still keep you connected on the call.
The back of the phone is concentrated with a 3.2 Megapixel camera, without flash which is fit on a plastic based bottom, which makes us feel a little flimsy and doesn’t seem to match the front traits of the phone. WVGA resistive effort is responsive only to a certain extent though the phone’s sharpness and picture clarity are appreciable.
At the top of phone is a LED, which indicates low on battery (red), a call or text has arrived (blue) and when the phone is in sleep mode (green). The other most impressive feature is that uniquely featuring a 1GHz CPU from Qualcomm.
Inside the Box Toshiba offers bits and pieces including 2 CD’s. There’s a microUSB charger and 3.5mm headphone adaptor, some instantly upgradeable headphones, and connection lead for the PC and a microUSB to USB adaptor.
