HTC Magic Review
The phone has surely created a revolution with its stylish look, compact dimensions and all round functionally balanced features. The other features which makes us feel the device is brilliant are ……
But, wait, if you have decided to go for this model you will also have to keep in mind that you whole-heartedly compromised for the below mentioned missing functionalities……..
For sure HTC and google have completely felt confident before jumping into shark
pond of modifying the look and feel of the phone when compared to the other changes that were necessarily needed. To start talking about the other surprising features of the phone would be to begin with the leather pouch that has been given along with the kit. It is really worth calling it a pleasant surprise. Along with this the users are also given a users guide, and list of HTC care centers.
Design Nothing really new has emerged as such as the design has been concerned. HTC have always felt happy about their curved edges, glossy look, and since they wanted to be loyal to their design, they have carried forwarded the same to HTC Magic, too. The plastic as usual doesnt spoil the look of the phone and at the same time has also been a great protector for your touch based phone.
The phone retains its display capacity even when exposed to sunlight. The phone truly exhbits its colors even under sunlight, but the only problm being the fact that it exhbits too much of colors that sometimes it gives a rainbow effect. The phone has a track ball, which is actually intended to serve the purpose of getting to the main menu. The same can also be used as a joystick while enjoying games on your phone. Apart from this the phone has 6 other keys, which is a great deal for a touch based phone. The volume rocker controls are concentrated on the sides ogf the phone, but are too narrow. The top has the Mini USB port and the back is concentrated with the 3 Megapixel camera.
Messaging – Being a touch based phone and with no support with QWERTY keyboard, the messaging truly becomes little annoying, because the QWERTY keyboard displayed to choose the characters to form your message is not well accommodated on the screen and looks a little meshy. The other interesting feature, is that like Nokia, a new message received doesn’t flash directly on the home page but is available as a small icon on the top right corner of the phone.
Multimedia – One best feature is that there is no separate folders to open photos and videos, but all are concentrated in the same place, since there is no special application that plays video. Also, now its no longer required to browse the file required, by default all the photo and video files are listed in the options for us to play. To zoom a picture a tap on the place you required to enjoy viewing zoomed is enough. sadly, there is no provision to mark multiple images or videos for file transfer / move.
Frequency res Noise level Dynamic range THD IMD + Noise Stereo crosstalk

Camera – A 3 Megapixel camera, absolutely lacking flash must give you the smallest hint that photo on a low-light place would really be as good as not having the photo. The camera phase has thoroughly undergone major change ever since the android 1st came. Since the phone does not have a dedicated key for camers, the trackball is used to click your final pictures too.
