28 Sep 09 Will Nokia Acquire Palm?

Palm is doing excellent with its WebOS and IMO its the only company giving serious competition to the Apple iPhone. On the other side Nokia hasn’t been doing too well with the smartphones (especially in the US) and has tried many things like a Maemo5 device (i.e. the N900) and a tie up with Microsoft. However rumors suggest that Nokia might flex its mu$cles and buy out Palm.

A good share of Palm lies in the hands on investors and they certainly wouldn’t mind cashing out of the company is the ROI is good. Though personally I wouldn’t like it, its quite logical for Nokia to take up Palm and get its hands on a really powerful OS.
