After buying your new N 0r E series phone do you feel that your phone is no longer as fast as it used to be when new. If you use your cellphones more for taking pics, capturing videos and transferring music on and off your phone than its a very frustrating issue.  We have a solution for your problem. A solution to the issue would be defragment the external memory of which you store all the files every few weeks to a few months, depends on how often you delete and replace files on the memory stick.

You would like to know what exactly this defragmentation does?

It sorts the data on the external memory in to a sequential order, thus improving rad performance of the external memory as data is now grouped together. The defragmentation what we do for our PC is same over here also. It will increase the space and sort the data together thus creating extra space for you.

So now you have know about defragmentation you would like to know how to do it? Here it goes:-

This can be done in windows XP as:-

1) Connect your phone as a USB mass storage device,or by taking the memory stick out and putting it in a card reader

2) Now go to My Computers right click on external microSDHC card

3) Goto propeties in that select Tools option

4) Select Error checking or Defragment
