Mobile Giant Nokia has discovered that majority of hiring and consumer-to-consumer transactions in emerging markets currently occur via word-of-mouth or through middlemen. So Nokia has decided to play the role of middlemen between the market and the consumers. Nokia has launched ‘Nokia Listing’ service only in India . The service helps the buyer and the seller to get connected in the simplest and the fastest possible way. This service will be available only to series 40 handsets users.  Lets have a look what exactly Nokia Listing is all about .  It have been specially designed for 3 major categories which includes buy & sell ,jobs and local services.
Lets have a detailed look at all the 3 categories:-
1) Buy & Sell:- The buyer and seller both can post and search for the items which they are willing to buy or sell. It can be bikes,Cell phones, cars and much more.
2) Jobs:-  The Employer can post the requirements of the employee they wish to hire along with the details required for a particular job and the employee can serch for one according to his/her qualification.
3) Local services:- You can search for service providers like plumbers, architects, lawyers, hospitals etc in your locality.  As a local service provider, you can list on the marketplace and be found by potential customers.
At present this service is available only in India which proves Nokia’s dedication towards Indian Market and Indian People. However you can create listings in all the available categories.  They will add more listings content over the next few months. Their goal is to bring the benefits of a digital marketplace to users of basic mobile phones (Series 40) without GPRS connections.
The client works on recent Series 40 phones. This would include devices such as: Nokia 2700 Classic, 2730 Classic, 3120 Classic, Nokia 5130 XpressMusic, 5310 XpressMusic, Nokia 5330 Xpressmusic, Nokia 5610, Nokia 6300i, Nokia 6303, Nokia X3, Nokia C3, etc .  This new service of Nokia seems to be very exciting as well as promising.
Looking at Nokia’s new strategies it seems like now Nokia is not going to sit silently until and unless it regains it’s top position once again in Indian Markets and increase its revenues.
