One of the unique E series cell phone, Nokia E75, having a full qwerty slider along with regular keypad is getting a firmware update. Though E75 didn’t get much of a popularity as E71, this cell phone definitely possesses all features which would lure people to get attracted to this device.
Though the firmware has not been declared in all the markets, it has been declared in selected markets. There is no Over the Air update, but the device can be updated via Nokia Software Updater and PC Suite.
The new version is v211.12 and comes with a download of 146MB file which demands good internet connection. We recommend that you back up all your files on your PC via PC Suite and then do the process of software update. Its simple and demands from the user to just follow the on screen instructions carefully.
There are many bug fixes but unfortunately you cannot see them as they are internal fixes. But surely you can feel it in the performance of your device. The update does bring stability and functionality to the device, but it does not have any additional features. 03 Jul 10 Nokia Firmware update available for E66, E71, N97 and N97 mini
There’s some good news for the owners of Nokia E66, E71 , N97 and N97 mini. Nokia has come out with the firmware updates for the mentioned phones. In general, there are many changes, improvements and fixes in the bugs. The users should not worry if they do not find the updates in their NSU (Nokia Software Updater) as Nokia will be launching the updates at different times in different markets.
The Nokia E66 and E71 are being updated to v500.21.009 via this update. It brings in many enhancements like support for Office 2007, Maps 3.3 Lite, upgraded music player etc.
The Nokia N97 is updated to version 22.0.110 via the firmware, it optimizes the RAM and C: drive usage. The N97 mini is updated to version 12 and it just gets better with it!
Be careful while updating your phone since it may become cumbersome if the onscreen instructions are not followed carefully.

A quick firmware update for the latest Nokia gizmo the N97 is out. Version 11.0.021 of the firmware fixes some bugs and increases efficiency. Here is the change log:
- USB detection error fix
- PC does not detect N97 or USB charging connection not detectedwidget
- Home screen online/offline widget crash fix
- Browser fixes to improve widgets stability
- Mail for exchange calendar entry synchronization error fix
- UI transition error fixes (Portrait <-> landscape transition, there is a home screen corruption.)
- UI transition (Slowness and bad effects)
- Slow Touch UI response
- Landscape: in some cases the soft buttons on touch (right hand) show the Home Screen in background (install maps.google.com)
- Photos thumbnail performance and stability improvements

18 May 09 N79 and N85 firmware upgraded to v20.175
Nokia N79 and N89 are now updated with firmware version 20.175. This brings some minor UI tweaks, bug fixes and additional features. Here are the highlights:
- Fixed: Cannot display sim contact on U-Sim (1000 contact sim card) when switch another UI language
- Fixed: Cant access sim card contacts
- Fixed: Phone hang during accessing Nokia Maps application in SW 11.049
- New: Bookmarks updated to remove Download link folders
- New: S60 3.2 based devices – Making Gimlet visible in Settings Wizard selection

30 Mar 09 New 5800 firmware out!
Nokia has released a new firmware for the 5800 xpressmusic. The update brings better email experience and faster downloads along with a few more tweaks:
- Enhanced in-device search experience
- Several new camera features (burst mode; the secondary camera can now capture still images)
- Built-in Mobile Dictionary – supports 388 languages and includes voice playback
- Application Update – allows you to check for new application updates

16 Jan 09 Nokia 5800 firmware update v11.0.008 adds Google
Even before the 5800 rolls out in other parts of the world, Nokia is busy updating the firmware to keep up with expectations. The recent update from Nokia adds mainly bug fixes like browser fixes for flash, messaging application crashes, fixes for the music player etc. However the one that catches the eye is the addition of the Google search to its internet search app.
