Nokia recently (actually precisely when the iPhone 4 launched in India) started its ‘iDoalotmore’ campaign in India, clearly aiming to take on Apple’s smartphone in the Indian market. The advertisements try to inform the user on how Nokia’s smartphones are better in every way. One blatant comparison was done in the camera ad, wherein a ladybug shown in iPhone 4′s ad displaying pinch-zoom functionality, was zoomed to exorbitantly unreal levels in Nokia’s ad to prove that they’ve got better cameras!

It was surprising to see Nokia (market leader by a huge margin in India) start such a campaign against a handset that doesn’t even sell that well here. And how could they think the Indian consumer would believe everything shown to them and change their minds? Bad move Nokia, bad move.
